The end is near.
Note that the agave at the base of the stalk is dead or dying. The spear itself is turning brown and starting to lean more. But the flowers are still nice.

It’s been amazing to watch. We have one other on our street, a much smaller one, and there is an even larger one in a yard about a mile away. That one was further along, so it may have fallen over already.
